Change In Education In Nazi Germany After 1933
Gleichschaltung is an example from the early days of the Nazi dictatorship where Germans were continuously manipulated. This concept was a paramount principle of the Nazi regime. The concept becomes increasingly evident when analysing the Nazi classroom from 1933. The Nazi government implemented a number of programs that transformed German society to serve Nazi goals and purposes. The government understood that the future of Nazi Germany was in the younger generation; therefore they changed the school curriculum taking control of the minds of children from kindergarten to university. The Nazis also maintained domination with the teachers in schools, influencing them to conform or resign and this in combination with the continuous use of propaganda in the classroom influencing the youth of Germany from very young ages to meet the same ideals as the Nazi government. Lastly the emphasis of the combination of education in the classroom and education of the youth in their own time was vital in the indoctrination of the youth and the future of Germany.
